About Me

I work as a Lecturer (Teaching & Research) in Computer Systems and Networking in the School of EE&T at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. I received my B.Eng. (First Class Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

My research vision focuses on AI-driven Systems Observability, including AI-native systems data schema, AI models for systems behavioral analysis, and AI systems for Cybersecurity and multimedia Quality-of-Experience use cases.

I actively publish at ACM SIGMETRICS and ACM IMC, the two top conferences in Systems Measurement and Performance Analysis, and in JCR Q1 journals in Computer Systems and Networking, including ACM Computing Surveys, IEEE Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, and Computer Networks.

This website also contains a list of my publications, blogs, teaching, and professional services. You may also find my profile at Google Scholar and ResearchGate.

(For Future Students): Our group is continuously looking for PhD students and MPhil students who are self-motivated and have a strong background in computer systems and networking. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me via email minzhao.lyu@unsw.edu.au.
